Geraldo rejected after begging Huckabee for apology over Holocaust comment; ‘I will not recant’

huckFox News’ Geraldo Rivera dialed up the drama on “The Five” Monday when he confronted Mike Huckabee for controversial remarks the presidential hopeful made about President Obama’s Iran deal.

Huckabee told Breitbart News on Saturday, “This president’s foreign policy is the most feckless in American history. It is so naïve that he would trust the Iranians. By doing so, he will take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven.”

“You may not go there!” Rivera told Huckabee. “And I’m begging you to apologize.”

Co-host Dana Perino agreed.

“From a rhetoric standpoint, when you bring up the Holocaust, everybody loses,” she said.

But, Rivera was the most visibly upset when confronting Huckabee.

“You have offended many, many people in the Jewish community,” Rivera said.

“It is inappropriate to compare the Holocaust to anything, and if you start using that as a sloppy rhetorical phrase, you’re going to get in trouble.”

Huckabee stood his ground.

“The last time the world did not take seriously the threats that someone was going to kill massive amounts of Jews, we ended up seeing six million Jews murdered,” Huckabee said.

“If we don’t take seriously, the threats from Iran… God help us all.”

But Rivera claimed mentioning the Holocaust is off limits for any reference to anything, whatsoever, when he begged for the apology.

Rivera won’t be getting it anytime soon.

“I will not apologize and I will not recant,” Huckabee said.
