Another “fringe” flagĀ is under fire from liberals.
A CNN producer who grew up down the street from Louisiana movie theater shooter John Russel Houser describes him as a āvery politically chargedā man who hadĀ āfringe ideologies,ā based on his flying a āDonāt tread on meā flag outside his house.
CNN producer Wes Bruer spoke with Jake Tapper on Friday about his former neighbor Houser, 59, who Bruer said lived ā10Ā houses downā from him in Phenix City, Alabama.
Bruer described Houser as āa local activist who ran for local electionsā and called him a āvery paranoid man,ā citing examples of how he treated political and business rivals.
When Tapper asked if Bruer heard Houser rant about any of his political views or āradical causes,ā Bruer said ānot openly,ā but then he said this:
We do remember things like him flying a Confederate flag outside of his house, or a āDonāt tread on meā flag outside of his house, so he sort of had an inclination that he may have some sort of fringe ideologies.
First the Confederate flag was banned from public display because Charleston, South Carolina, shooter Dylann Roof was photographed with it, and now apparently displaying a āDonāt tread on meā flag indicates āfringe ideologiesā leading to homicidal tendencies.
Why donāt liberals just dispense with the symbols and simply declare all conservatives to be dangerous ideologues?
