Trump SHUTS DOWN combative MSNBC host on border trip; ‘You’re finished!’

donald-trumpRepublican presidential candidate Donald Trump used two words to brush aside an MSNBC questioner at a news conference Thursday after his tour of the U.S.-Mexican border:

You’re finished.”

When MSNBC’s Jose Diaz-Balart began questioning the businessman-turned-candidate on comments about illegal immigrants he’d made at his campaign kickoff, Trump countered that the media had taken his statements wildly out of context.

“Mr. Trump, you know 53,000 Hispanics turn 18 years of age in this country every month, born in the country of voting age,” Diaz-Balart began.

“Fifty-four million-plus Hispanics — many feel that what you said when you said that the people who cross the border are rapists and murderers . . .”

“No, no, no,” Trump said, interrupting. “We’re talking about illegal immigration, and everybody understands that. And you know what: that’s a typical case — wait, that’s a typical case of the press with misinterpretation. They take a half a sentence — they take a half a sentence, then they take quarter of a sentence and put it all together. It’s a typical thing.”

Then Trump recalled that Diaz-Balart, who hosts “The Rundown” on MSNBC,” is also a Telemundo host.

“And you’re with Telemundo, and Telemundo should be ashamed,” Trump added, and then launched into a description of his lawsuit against Univision, another Spanish-language cable TV network.

“I’m not finished with my question,” Diaz-Balart put in.

“No, no. You’re finished,” Trump shot back.
