Killing four Marines and a Navy sailor isn’t radical enough for the FBI?
Although the Federal Bureau of Investigation acknowledges that Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez, the man who shot and killed five servicemen in Chattanooga, Tenn., was a “homegrown violent extremist,” the agency is not ready to state he’d been radicalized.
This assessment was made by FBI Special Agent Ed Reinhold at a news conference Wednesday. Reinhold is in charge of the investigation of last week’s rampage at two military facilities, according to the Times Free Press.
“It’s too early in the investigation to determine whether or not he had been radicalized,” Reinhold said, according to People magazine.
Reinhold did not clarify the difference between “homegrown violent extremism” and an extremist who has been “radicalized.”
But he works for a Justice Department that has spent the past six years under President Obama and former Attorney General Eric Holder who have trouble acknowledging “radical” Islamic extremism even exists. Stating the obvious in that environment could be a fatal career move.

And social media was dumbfounded, with one user summing up the question perfectly: “Are you effing kidding me?”
But within hours everyone was sure the Confederate Flag was the inspiration for the Charleston murders. @Tennessean https://t.co/MdHdPLin6o

@Tennessean @FBI I would laugh, but it’s not funny. Surreal? Yes.

.@Tennessean yeah, I’m sure it’ll take a prolonged investigation to find this out. Whatever they can do not to offend headchoppers.

.@leadandgold_cdh @instapundit At this stage in the Charleston investigation we’d already banned the Dukes of Hazzard.
