A former U.S. Marine’s beautiful tribute to the four Marines killed by a Muslim terrorist has gone viral.
Doug Flack, service manager at the Texas Roadhouse in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where Thursday’s killings occurred, set up a table with four upside-down beer mugs, black napkins, white plates with red ribbons, a Marine Corps flag and a sign that says it’s reserved for the four fallen heroes.
But he had no clue that his tribute would touch so many, the Washington Times reported.
“I had no idea it was going to spread like it did,” he told the Times. “I lost four brothers yesterday, and I had to do something for them.”
Flack, who served in the Marines from 1994 to 1995, told the Times he stayed up all night Thursday collecting the items to make the tribute Friday.
A picture of the tribute went viral after it was posted by WTVC-TV in Chattanooga and Flack said it won’t removed until after all four Marines are laid to rest.
“It’s not coming down,” Flack said.
