Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu used social media on Tuesday to brand the deal the Obama administration has reached with Iran as a “historic” mistake that will eventually result in a nuclear armed Islamic Republic.
“World powers have made far-reaching concessions in all areas that were supposed to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapons capability,” he wrote.
According to The Associated Press:
The accord will keep Iran from producing enough material for an atomic weapon for at least 10 years and impose new provisions for inspections of Iranian facilities, including military sites. And it marks a dramatic break from decades of animosity between the United States and Iran, countries that alternatively call each other the “leading state sponsor of terrorism” and the “the Great Satan.”
The agreement still faces a 60-day review period in Congress and a possible rejection vote, The AP reported.
That’s where Netanyahu is likely to turn his efforts next.
On Twitter Tuesday, he accused the Obama administration of being “willing to make a deal at any cost.”
Judging by the early response, the Twitterverse agrees with him.
When willing to make a deal at any cost, this is the result. From early reports, we can see that the deal is a historic mistake.

@netanyahu Iranians have proven time and again how untrustworthy they can be. Anyone aware of their long term plans can see through them.
