CNN is tastelessly celebrating the removal of the Confederate battle flag in South Carolina.
The flag is being oustedĀ from the stateĀ Capitol grounds, and CNN is licking its chops, even putting up a countdown clock to mark the occasion.
Gov. Nikki Haley signed a bill Thursday to take downĀ the flag and have it displayed in a museum, and announced that a removal ceremony would take place Friday at 10 a.m.
Shortly thereafter, āthe most trusted name in newsā unveiled itsĀ countdown clock.Ā All that was left wasĀ for CNN to displayĀ one of its famous animations depicting what the CapitolĀ wouldĀ look like when the flag wasĀ removed.
The Twitterverse emphatically mocked the clock.
