Flashback video of Clintons roping off press like cattle in ’92: Bill picking a filly?

Roping off the media like a herd of cattle is nothing new for Bill and Hillary Clinton.

A 29-second video posted on YouTube Tuesday and getting widespread attention shows the Clintons during the 1992 presidential campaign walking down a street, waving to the crowd, as their aides corral cameramen with ropes pulling them in front of the couple.

And the media meekly accepted the treatment.

The video’s been viewed more than 38,000 times since being posted  by DemocratFlashback and has started making the rounds on social media.

The Twitterverse responded with a mixture of amusement —  “we’d probably be able to watch Bill cut a young filly out of the herd” — and contempt for the media’s compliance with the Clintons.
