Federal and state agents investigating child pornography raided the home of Subway sandwich chain spokesman Jared Fogle early Tuesday.
According to Fox 59 in Indianapolis, Fogle’s Indiana home was raided about 6:30 a.m by investigators from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Indiana State Police.
In April the executive director of the Jared Foundation, Russell Taylor, was arrested on charges of child exploitation, possession of child pornography and voyeurism, Fox 59 reported.
The foundation, whose stated purpose is to eliminate childhood obesity, severed ties with Taylor immediately and Fogle issued a statement stating he was “shocked to learn of the disturbing allegations”
It is unknown if Tuesday’s raid is connected to the Taylor case.
Fogle rose to national fame after losing a substantial amount of weight at attributing it to a diet of Subway sandwiches, later becoming a spokesman for the sandwich chain.
