Univision exposed as ‘Hispanic MSNBC’ after comparing Trump to Charleston mass murderer

Is Univision biased? One man in the know thinks so, and he’s not letting a Univision official get away with comparing Donald Trump to alleged murderer Dylann Roof.

Marc Thiessen, a former speech writer for President George W. Bush and his defense secretary, Donald Rumsfeld, blasted the Spanish-language network Thursday for its left-wing bias, calling it the “Hispanic MSNBC.”

Appearing on Fox News’ “The Kelly File,” Thiessen attacked the station’s president of programming and content, Alberto Ciurana, for posting a picture on his Instagram account that compared 2016 Republican presidential hopeful Trump to Roof, the alleged Charleston, South Carolina, mass murderer, just days before Univision announced it would play host to a Republican presidential forum.

“There’s a clear bias against Republicans in the media, but Univision isn’t just the media, it’s basically a Hispanic MSNBC,” he said. “Media Research Center did a review of their coverage, and they found that they lean very far left in their news coverage. They’re three times as likely to quote the liberals as they are conservatives. And as Donald Trump pointed out, the owner of their network has said that it is his dream to see Hilary Clinton in the White House.”

Kelly and Thiessen agreed it’s absurd that Republicans would agree to participate in a forum on such an adversarial network.
