Milwaukee County Sheriff Clarke is sick and tired of “racist” accusations being hurled at America’s police.
Clarke responded on “The Kelly File” Wednesday to the second controversial incident this month where police were called to evacuate unruly youths from a community pool.
Again, the youths were black, the police were white.
“There’s no racism there, Megyn, there’s no racism,” Clarke told host Megyn Kelly. “Every time [it’s] a white officer that confronts some black individuals right away people jump to race.”
The latest case took place last week when Fairfield, Ohio, police were called after a group of young people ignored pool staff’s orders to leave because one guest reportedly did not have a swimsuit.
Video recording shows two women, Krystal Dixon and her sister, Maya Dixon resisting arrest after their kids refused to leave the pool, as well as police officers trying to subdue a 12-year-old girl.
One staff worker on the scene made a telling statement to a 911 dispatcher.
“They’re videotaping, trying to make it look like a racist thing, and it’s not at all. They were breaking our policies. We told them they couldn’t be here anymore, and it’s really scary and I don’t feel safe,” the staff member said.
The video is rife with screaming and drama, but both the Fairfield Police Chief Michael J. Dickey and Clarke agree that officers acted accordingly.

“I think even a little more force would have been reasonable under [these] circumstances. [Police] were getting no compliance to their lawful commands,” Clarke told Kelly.
Clarke’s frustration was palpable.
“I’m getting sick and tired of people engaging the police in these situations, not complying with their lawful commands, resisting arrest, fighting the police and think that the police should just go home,” he said.
“When you get into a physical confrontation with a law enforcement officer, you can expect to get hurt.”
Clarke said an officer is expected to use enough reasonable force to overcome the person resisting arrest, no matter what their age, and called the police response in the Ohio video, “textbook.”
As far as the confrontation being a racial issue? Clarke agrees with the 911 caller’s sentiment and said he’s “tired of that too.”
“I got one thing for those people in this situation … that think there was a racial component, three words – shut up already!”
