Texas Gov. Abbott sticks it to grabbers; goes shooting to celebrate signing new pro-gun laws

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott stuck a thumb in the eyes of liberal gun grabbers Tuesday.

Not only did the Republican governor sign new laws allowing open carry and campus carry, he signed them in a gun range — and then did some shooting, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

“Today I am proud to expand liberty in the Lone Star State,” Abbott said in a press release. “By signing these bills into law, Texans can be assured that their Second Amendment rights will be stronger and more secure than ever before.”

The new laws will allow anyone with a Texas concealed carry license to openly carry their firearm as well as carry their firearm on a public university property. The governor signed the bills at Red’s Indoor Range in Pflugerville, Texas, and took the opportunity to practice his shot.

Nice shot, Governor.
