Michelle Obama just can’t stop widening the wedge between a divided America, and has found a captive audience for the mission.
The first lady continues to treat 2015 graduates to commencement speeches featuring racial resentment and identity politics, this time depressing young grads near her home in Chicago’s South Side.
“Wherever you go next, wherever you go, you all encounter people who doubt your very existence—folks who believe that hardworking families with strong values don’t exist on the South Side of Chicago, or in Detroit, or in El Paso, or in Indian Country, or in Appalachia,” she told the crowd at King College Prep High School on Tuesday.
“They don’t believe you are real,” she added to drive the point home.
It’s hardly the kind of inspiration one would think to blow under the wings of fledglings getting ready to fly the coop.
But Obama apparently couldn’t help herself, and interjected her brand of gloomy racial rhetoric towards the end of what otherwise could have been one of her most motivational speeches.
“And with every word you speak, with every choice you make, with the way you carry yourself each day, you are rewriting the story of our communities,” she continued.
“And that’s a burden that President Obama and I proudly carry every single day in the White House.”
“Because we know that everything we do and say can either confirm the myths about folks like us, or it can change those myths.”
The first lady continues to undermine the white American electorate that helped vote her husband into the White House – twice.
And why would she remember to acknowledge that tidbit of real inspiration for America’s black youth with media lapdogs sopping up her story every chance they get.
Take for instance, the New York Time’s piece on Obama’s South Side speech. It not only gives her accolades for Tuesday’s discourse, but proudly compiles a media montage of some of the first lady’s racially divisive highlights at recent commencement speeches.
Critics argue this only stokes the fire of racial tension that has dramatically escalated during the two terms of the Obama administration.
Ron Christie, former aide to President George W. Bush’s administration, said that as an African-American he’s proud the Obamas are in the White House. But that doesn’t mean he’s satisfied by their behavior.
“I just wish the Obama’s would recognize the historical significance of that rather than say racism is driving everything down or that America is inherently racist,” he said, according to the Times.
“America is not this mean, angry, racist place that sometimes I think the first family in the form of Michelle Obama would like you to believe.”
Sometimes?
Racial politicking has definitely become a pattern for the burdened first lady. It’s a good thing for her, she and her girls will be getting away from it all on their upcoming European jaunt, courtesy in part, of America’s racist taxpayers.
