High school removes anti-cop art with bloody black males as ‘new endangered species’

An anti-police high school art display near the nation’s capital has been removed amid controversy.

Honors students at Oxon Hill High School, a majority-black school in Prince George’s County, Md., outside Washington D.C., created the display that portrays black males as a “new endangered species.”

The display featured a white police officer holding an obituary section of a newspaper. Next to him a was a young black man with his hands up in a bullet-riddled, blood-covered, American flag T-shirt.

Entire police dept. disbanded after councilwoman and her son were arrested.

According to Fox 5, the art had been displayed for weeks before being removed Monday after a picture of it went viral after being tweeted.

In a statement, the school confirmed the display had been removed.

“While we encourage this type of evaluation, expression and analysis in our school district, we also strive to foster a civil and respectful culture,” the statement read.

And nothing says “civil and respectful” like bloody T-shirts and murderous cops.

The disgusting display was roundly panned in the Twitterverse.
