That President Obama loves having his picture taken — but hates talking shop — was demonstrated for the world to see Monday at the G-7 conference in Germany.
The president smiled for a group photo and then snubbed Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, who clearly wanted a few minutes of his time.
When the photographer was finished taking group photos of the world leaders, al-Abadi and his translator, who were seated right next to Obama, attempted to get the president’s attention.
Instead of acknowledging the person who has to be America’s most important ally in defeating the Islamic State terrorists, Obama turned his back on the the Iraqi leader, leaving the prime minister to walk away in frustration.
CBS News Chief White House correspondent Major Garrett reported that the two leaders were scheduled to meet later Monday, but added, “the strains in that relationship were all too visible.”
No kidding.
