Comedians scared of college campuses; Jerry Seinfeld steers clear of PC wuss-breeding grounds

Comedic genius Jerry Seinfeld is no fan of political correctness — or the current generation of college students.

The comedian told ESPN Radio’s “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” on Thursday that he steers clear of college campuses when performing because of a climate dominated by overly sensitive kids obsessed with fears of being marginalized, insulted or discriminated.

“I don’t play colleges, but I hear a lot of people tell me, ‘Don’t go near colleges, they’re so PC,'” Seinfeld said, offering a personal example.

“My daughter’s 14. My wife says to her, ‘Well, you know, in the next couple of years, I think maybe you’re going to want to hang around the city more on the weekends so you can see boys.’ You know, my daughter says, ‘That’s sexist.'”

Seinfeld said kids today are just going along with the flow, clueless to the world around them.

“They just want to use these words. ‘That’s racist. That’s sexist. That’s prejudice,'” he said. “They don’t even know what they’re talking about.”

So much for the free flow of thoughts and ideas, as college campuses once were known for. That was before political correctness came to town.
