Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani sees a big problem with the multiple allegations waged against Hillary Clinton, and professed things would be very different if he were in charge.
According to Giuliani’s statements during an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Thursday, Clinton should have already been indicted.
“As a former federal prosecutor there is no way she wouldn’t be in front of a grand jury if I were U.S. attorney,” Giuliani said.
Cuomo couldn’t believe it. “Really? On which allegation?” he asked.
“Let’s pick the conflict of interest,” Giuliani replied.
“We have lots of money going to her husband, and to her husband’s charity and her charity, her taking action favorable to the causes that paid money, to the countries that paid money.”
Giuliani was at CNN to talk about Jeb Bush’s upcoming presidential announcement, but it didn’t take long for the conversation to turn to Clinton, which starts at minute 1:30:
Giuliani said his main focus is getting the most electable Republican presidential candidate in place to correct President Obama’s colossal mistakes, because he doesn’t think Clinton is cut out for the job.
In fact, if it were up to Giuliani, she wouldn’t even have a job.
“If there were a quid pro quo, we’d be talking bribery,” Giuliani said, continuing to cite allegations that large foreign donations were given to the Clinton Foundation in exchange for special favors.
“If there were no quid pro quo, if she had knowledge, then it’d be a conflict of interest. Which by the way, bars you from federal office for the rest of your life.
Cuomo asked, if there was really any “there, there.”
“There is way more than enough there to warrant an investigation,” Giuliani said.
