This time she was ready.
A day after being confronted with a New York Times report that Iran has increased its nuclear fuel stockpile by 20 percent over the past 18 months, State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf came prepared on Wednesday
While being “perplexed” over aspects of The Times article, Harf fired back with the venerable “appeal to authority” argument — in effect, saying all of the nuclear experts are certain Iran will be in compliance on the required levels of nuclear fuel by the June 30 deadline.
So Harf is certain too.
“Honestly, I’ve talked to all of the nuclear experts on this,” she said, according to The Washington Free Beacon.
“There is not a concern that they will get down to the right amount by June 30. In the two previous times, the initial [Joint Plan of Action] and then the extension, they’ve done the same thing, and they’ve always gotten back where they needed to be,” Harf added.
Because Iran is so trustworthy and all — and Harf is so perceptive.
Social media users responded to the Harf’s latest assertion with a heavy dose of skepticism, with one user wondering if she’s hearing “voices in her head.”
