After wreaking all the damage one man can possibly inflict in Ferguson, Mo., and Baltimore, Md., race provocateur Al Sharpton has moved his traveling freak show to Cleveland, Ohio.
Looking to capitalize on Officer Michael Brelo’s acquittal this week in the shooting death of Tamir Rice, Sharpton spoke at the Olivet Institutional Baptist Church on Friday, and in predictable fashion, flipped the truth on its head.
“I didn’t come to Cleveland to start trouble,” said Sharpton, an MSNBC host with a history of throwing gasoline on proverbial fires. “I came to stop it.”
Employed at a network that served as little more than an extension of the Democratic Party’s campaign apparatus in 2008 and 2012, Sharpton let it be known that 2016 will be no different, making what some are interpreting as a threat.
“You will not have an election without Republicans addressing policing,” he said.
Can you spot the reason this innocent statue caused an UPROAR?
It doesn’t seem to matter that the data does not support Sharpton’s claim that police target young black men. Some, like the protesters in the “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” campaign, will continue to insist the farce is true, and Sharpton will keep leading the charge.

According to the response on social media, the reverend’s act is growing old. Very old. But the photo Goldenberg posted proves that there’s no shortage of low-information voters willing to turn out to hear him agitate.
Here’s a sampling of the reaction from Twitter:
@SaraGoldenberg I’m not sure why he’s commenting on the RNC tonight. Not really the right time or place.
