Donald Trump took center stage Thursday night to do what he does best – glorify himself and slam everyone else.
Trump was accepting the Sarasota, Fla., Republican Party “Statesman of the Year” award, where his vicious jabs at GOP presidential candidates were met with thunderous applause.

Carly Fiorina “ran a company and she got viciously fired,” Trump said, according to the Daily Mail.
Trump joked with the crowd saying he knows a thing or two about firing people.
“I make millions of dollars firing people on television. I know more about firing people than anybody in the world,” Trump said, referring to his NBC show, “The Apprentice.”

Trump’s wrath quickly shifted into digs against Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio.
“They’re not getting us to the promised land,” he said.
Trump wants to see the candidates get tough on questions regarding foreign policy, the Mail reported.
“I like Jeb Bush. He’s a nice person. But when he was asked about Iraq, he couldn’t give an answer,” Trump said.
“It took him four days before we got a straight answer.
“How would you like him negotiating with the terrorists?” he added.
Many Republicans would argue that they don’t want anyone “negotiating” with terrorists. In all fairness, Trump was quick to point out the pathetic negotiating skills of the current administration regarding Iran and the Middle East.
But not before excoriating Rubio.
Trump recalled a recent interview where Rubio told the interviewer that he didn’t understand the question he was being asked regarding invading Iraq.
That interview was “a horror show” according to Trump, and told the crowd he doesn’t “even know how [Rubio] could be running for office.”

“We can’t put ourselves through this,” he said.
Trump said candidates should know exactly where they stand on Iraq and talked about the “$2 trillion spent and thousands of lives lost” were all for nothing, according to the Mail.
“Remember, I said we should keep the oil,” he reminded the crowd.
Ex-presidential candidates weren’t off limits either. Trump took a swipe at Mitt Romney for “choking” during the last presidential election.
“Once a choker, always a choker,” Trump said. “He’s good-looking. Other than that, there’s nothing, OK?”
As far as guys who probably look in the mirror a lot, Trump had plenty to say about himself.
“I like these people,” Trump said about the candidates. “But they don’t have it. It’s not going to happen.”
“They’re not doing what I do. I do it better than anybody.”
Whatever could that mean? Will Trump be… running for president?

Surely, that’s what the billionaire business icon wants everyone to speculate as he dangled the “I’m-probably-going-to-run-carrot” in front of the crowd.
He does do that – better than anybody.
