Suspect in horrific murder of DC family identified by DNA on Domino’s pizza crust

Details continue to emerge surrounding the case of a wealthy Washington family that was murdered along with their housekeeper. Authorities issued an arrest warrant for the suspect who is still at large.

Washington, D.C. police identified Daron Dylon Wint, 34, in the torture and slayings of Savvas Savopoulos, 46, wife Amy Savopoulos, 47, their 10-year-old son, Phillip, and their housekeeper, Veralicia Figueroa, 57.

In a disturbing twist, authorities found DNA on a Domino’s Pizza delivered to the house on May 14 while the victims were being held captive, linking Wint to the murders.

A delivery of $40,000 was also dropped off at the Savopoulos home during the long night the victims were held captive, and is believed to be part of the reason why the family was targeted.

The large sum of money was delivered by an unidentified assistant, and is thought to be part of a business deal, according to the Daily Mail.

The suspect apparently took the $40,000 and the family’s Porsche before setting the house on fire.

Authorities found the three deceased adults tied to chairs. At least two had suffered blunt force trauma before the blaze was set, according to the Daily Mail.

The young boy apparently died curled up in his bed and was found with several lacerations on his body.

Wint has a long rap-sheet with previous convictions of sexual assault, theft and weapon possession in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Over the years he has used several names, Daron, Darron, and Davon, according to the Mail.
