ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos is facing intense scrutiny for contributing $75,000 to the Clinton Foundation andĀ failing to disclose the donations despite reporting on the Clintons, but it turns out heās not alone in violating basic conflicts of interest. A whole bevy of media organizations have also ponied up major cash to the foundation.
The extensive list includesĀ NBC Universal, News Corp., Turner Broadcasting and Thomson Reuters,Ā according to Politico.
Mass media groups like Comcast, Time Warner and Viacom are also on the list, as are Google and Twitter.
It’s safe to sayĀ that when it comes to the appearance of impropriety, the Clintons have sullied the entire AmericanĀ journalism community.
The list may actually help minimize the pressure Stephanopoulos is feeling, but Republican candidates looking to take on the Clinton machine in the 2016 presidential election must be shaking their heads.
