School launches online tattletale initiative for students who use ‘offensive’ speech

America’s indoctrinated youth continues to let their freedoms be stolen out from under their oblivious noses on college campuses across the nation.

The University of Colorado Boulder launched a new initiative fit for a playground of five-year-olds called “The Bias Incident Reporting Protocol.”

The description on CU Boulder’s website states the program is being implemented in the name of “inclusivity” and “free speech” – as long as the speech doesn’t go outside boundaries determined by campus administrators.

University officials unabashedly state (emphasis added):

“The purpose of this protocol is to address the impact of demeaning and hurtful statements as well as acts of intolerance directed towards protected classes as defined by our university policy.”

Administrators claim the effort will not be used to reprimand students, but will be used as a snitching portal of sorts, in conjunction with layers of speech-monitoring campus bureaucracy that has the authority to dole out punishment.

“This in no way is meant to curtail free speech,” campus spokesman Ryan Huff told the College Fix.

“We support the First Amendment and want our students to challenge one another in academic ways. We don’t support, however, the use of racial slurs and other demeaning bias-motivated acts.”

The initiative was launched with posters carrying shocking statements.

“Go back to Africa, you don’t belong here,” read one poster.

Another said, “Your mom must be the janitor ‘cause that’s the only job for dirty Mexicans.”

Both BMI’s (Bias-Motivated Incidents, as they’re being called) on the posters were comments that students supposedly heard on campus.

Fox-News Denver reported that the posters were met with some resistance and several of the 400 – 500 were torn down, according to the College Fix.

Chancellor Philip DeStefano can’t figure out why.

“What ought to offend here is not the language on the posters, but the language that is used in perpetuating acts of racism, ethnic intimidation, homophobia and other acts of bias in our campus community,” a statement from DeStafano read.

When a students witness a BMI, they are encouraged to fill out a detailed online form which asks for personal identification information as well as their “role” in the incident: victim, witness, or person of concern.

So, instead of enlightening, educating, or ignoring someone because they might be a jerk, students will never really know who they are engaging as they walk around in speech-stifled oblivion.
