She’s ‘out of line’: Fox News hosts come down on Mosby for getting on stage at Prince concert

Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby has already damaged her city’s case against six officers accused in the death of Baltimore resident Freddie Gray while in police custody in April by bringing charges against them with unheard-of speed.

But according to Fox News hosts Bill O’Reilly and Megyn Kelly, her onstage appearance over the weekend with pop star Prince at his “Rally 4 Peace” concert was something she had “no business doing.”

O’Reilly and Kelly tackled Mosby’s latest move in an “O’Reilly Factor” discussion Monday.

O’Reilly opened the segment with a segment of a new song Prince performed that included the lyrics, “Does anybody hear us pray, for Michael Brown or Freddie Gray?”

Kelly, who defended Mosby Friday night against calls that she recuse herself from the Gray case, was more critical Monday.

“I still think she doesn’t need to be booted off the case, but this is out of line,” Kelly said. “She had no business being there.”

Reilly, who has already said the case should be moved out of Baltimore County, was much stronger.

“Ms. Mosby is running the most unprofessional office I have ever seen in my life,” he said.

From the beginning of the case, Mosby’s handling of it has drawn accusation s that her prosecution was based more on politics and appeasing a mob of rioters than serving the legal system.

Kelly summed up the problem succinctly.

“It’s not like we didn’t know where Prince was coming at this from,” she said. “She’s supposed to be a professional so that she’s above this all, so she is above reproach. So far, so bad Ms. Mosby.”
