Lib Kirsten Powers’ new book exposing the left has progressives fuming mad

Liberal Fox News’ contributor Kirsten Powers was on the firing line from the left Monday over her new book — and there’s going to be a lot more to come.

Tellingly, Powers spent the day defending herself against the same tactics she outlines in“The Silencing: How the Left is Killing Free Speech.”

Despite the book’s positive reviews, Powers was met with contempt by fellow liberal writers who didn’t appreciate her expose of how progressives continually use race, religion, gender and personal “smoke and mirror” attacks to systematically shut down opposing views.

Conservatives have continually been calling out the left’s silencing of free speech to no avail. The idea of a self-proclaimed liberal calling them out is a huge “no-no.” Powers got a taste Monday of what is likely more to come.

Excerpts of Powers’ book were carried in several publications, but the fact that conservative Heritage Foundation covered it was enough of an “argument” for some to try and discredit the book all together.

Powers did get support from some who aren’t normally on her side..

But it was nothing compared to the wrath of the “gay left community” incensed over the book’s mention of Mozilla co-founder Brendan Eich and his $1,000 donation to California’s “Yes on 8” campaign. Eich was famously forced to step down from his CEO position after a boycott was organized against him for his opposition to same-sex marriage.

It doesn’t look like Powers will be backing down any time soon.

Sadly, Powers had better get used to it.
