Brady responds: America’s mom, Carol Brady’s irreverent presser mocking Tom Brady’s ‘Deflate-gate’

Iconic “Brady Bunch” mom Carol Brady weighed in on New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s “Deflate-gate” in a quirky video full of double entendres that are sure to blow her image as the prim-and-proper mother type.

In the “HuffPost Show” spot, actress Florence Henderson, who played the matriarch of the “Brady Bunch,” stepped to the podium at a mock press conference reeking attitude and issuing a statement on how she likes her balls.

“Oh, for heaven’s sake, this report is a bunch of malarkey,” she said. “I mean, anyone who knows me knows that I don’t like smaller balls.”

Taking a page from the Obama administration’s standard late-Friday afternoon news dump, the National Football League released a 139-page report this week on whether footballs used in the January AFC title game between the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts were intentionally underinflated.

The report found that “it is more probable than not” that Brady was “at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities.”

That means, in clear English, that Brady was involved in some manner. Maybe. They’re not quite sure. But probably. Henderson – that other Brady – was more emphatic in her delivery of the tongue-in-cheek puns.
