Clinton’s aides dish during a boozy roundtable; Hillary likes to hang out, ‘drink and gossip’

Two former Clinton aides sat down for a Huffington Post “Drinking and Talking” roundtable, and after a few cocktails started dishing out some interesting revelations.

‘Drinking & Talking:’ Hillary 2016 Edition

“She’s a lot fun!” said Patti Solis Doyle, who served as Hillary’s campaign manager when she ran for Senate in New York in 2000 and re-election to the seat in 2006.

Admittedly, the words “fun” and “Hillary Clinton” aren’t often heard in the same sentence. Perhaps it was the alcohol talking, which naturally lead to more talk about, alcohol.

Solis Doyle joyfully disclosed that Hillary’s drinks of choice are wine and vodka.

“She likes to hang out and drink and gossip,” Solis Doyle said.

Sounds like Clinton would make an awesome college roommate, but that “3am call” is going to be especially tough after a rough night.

As far as regrets? The Clinton insiders say they have a few.

Both commented that they wished Clinton had emphasized her gender more during the 2008 campaign.

“I would say maybe give the ‘glass ceiling’ speech a hell of a lot earlier,” Tracy Sefl, senior adviser for super PAC Ready for Hillary said.

In other words, get ready for “War on Women” round 2.

We may all require some drinks for that.
