In another clear sign the mob is in control in the city of Baltimore, the mayor announced she is lifting anĀ imposed curfew that brought relative calm to city streets.
Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake made the announcement Sunday after persistent criticism of the 10 p.m. curfew Saturday by protesters attending a “Victory Rally,” held to celebrate the arrest of six police officers in the death of Freddie Gray.
āMy goal has always been to not have the curfew in place a single day longer than was necessary,ā Rawlings-Blake said in a statement.
Never mind that protesters had already begun defying police by ignoring the curfew, resulting in dozens of arrests.
Ironically, she thanked the people of Baltimore “for their patience.”
Rawlings-Blake’s statement was tweeted in full by NPR reporter Juana Summers:

The mayor doesn’t seem to realize she’s setting a precedent for future behavior, teaching protesters that they can control actions by rioting and looting.
The National Guard is also beginning to pull out of Baltimore, according to Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan.

“We’ve already started withdrawal of the Guard,” Hogan said at a news conference held after the mayor’s announcement. “The trucks are pulling out this morning. It’s going to take a little bit of a while.”
The demobilization will occur over the following 72 hours, ABC News reported.
As the news disseminated across social media platforms, some suggest the development should make for an interesting night Sunday, or as one put it: “The thugs will be out in full force.”
Here’s a sampling as seen on Twitter:

So, now that the Mayor has lifted the curfew in #Baltimore will peace remain or do the riots recommence tonight? I pray for peace.
