Boehner: We have no interest in having Hillary’s server . . . too ‘partisan’ for Congress

Speaker John Boehner wants the State Department, not Congress, to search for Hillary Clinton’s missing emails.

”We have no interest in physically having the server,” he told a group of reporters Thursday. “We think the Inspector General at the State Department is the right entity to look at the server, determine what’s private, what’s public and what’s mixed. They’ve got the ability to do that.”

While Boehner wants the Benghazi committee to continue its quest for the emails, he doesn’t want the House itself to do the looking, Washington Examiner chief political correspondent Byron York reported.

“I just think it would be looked at as highly partisan,” he said. “I just frankly think a third party is in a much better position to make this call than us.”

But the Speaker does think the emails exist and are worth pursuing, according to the Examiner.

“They deleted all the Lois Lerner emails, but they keep finding them,” Boehner said. ”You know, these things just don’t go away.”

Yeah John, but if you don’t subpoena the server, who will?

Twitter users blasted Boehner for his decision.
