With a New York Times report questioning 2016 Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton‘s role in the sale of a uranium company to Russia, the criticism is coming hard and fast, even from left wing zealots like actor Mark Ruffalo.
The actor best known for his role as The Hulk and a few of his followers are ready to jump ship, although not everyone is on board. Here is a small sampling of responses, as seen on Twitter:
This’s the problem! #RunWarrenRun Cash Flowed 2 Clinton Foundation as Russians Pressed for Control of Uranium Company http://t.co/Q35d9YnKxC — Mark Ruffalo (@MarkRuffalo) April 23, 2015
@MarkRuffalo It appears – every candidate running for the presidency is funded by wealthy hidden agendas. Sen. Warren would be refreshing! — MRPolakowski (@mr_polakowski) April 23, 2015

@DixonsPlace @MarkRuffalo Can you jam any more talking points into one tweet? — JWF (@JammieWF) April 23, 2015
@MarkRuffalo because we all know American Indians are honest…oh, wait, she’s not really a member of the “tribe” right? — Master Chief PO117 (@HaloChiefPO117) April 23, 2015
Fox News’ Judge Jeanine Pirro suggested the latest scandal may be connected to “Email-gate,” in which Clinton acknowledged that she used a private email address and private server while serving as secretary of state, deleting more than 30,000 emails that she deemed to be of a personal nature.
Appearing on “Hannity” Thursday night, Pirro asked, “Do you really want a president every week where you’ve got a scandal?”
The Times reported that “a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation” as the Russians took control of Uranium One between 2009 and 2013.
That cash, which the Clintons managed to forget to disclose publicly, totaled at least $2.35 million.
Interestingly, former President Bill Clinton snagged a $500,000 speaking gig from a Russian investment bank with ties to the deal shortly thereafter.
According to Fox News, the deal “turned over 20 percent of America’s uranium supply to the Russians.”
(Uranium is primarily used for nuclear weapons and nuclear power plants.)

Pirro said the FBI should “connect the dots.”
“We’ve got this intertwining of money to the foundation, money to Bill Clinton, deals with Russia, Canada — Iran is in some of the other deals — and we’ve got this veil of secrecy from a woman [Clinton] who says she is the most transparent person,” she said.
“You can call it influence peddling, you can call it a shell game, you can call it a conspiracy, you can call it concealment, you can call it tampering with evidence, you can call it whatever you want, but here’s the bottom line: Now the email server becomes very relevant because now the proof is not available, unless you’ve got someone at the other end talking about it,” Pirro added.
