Sharpton’s pupils: MORE big-talking MSNBC hosts exposed dodging their ‘fair share’

Two more MSNBC hosts have been exposed for dodging the taxman, bringing the total number up to four (and counting).

This from the liberal network whose hosts often lambaste Republican lawmakers for not increasing taxes, and the rich for not paying their “fair share.”

The “artful (tax) dodgers”: Touré Neblett, Joy-Ann Reid, Melissa Harris-Perry, Al Sharpton

A search of public records revealed that Touré Neblett, host of “The Cycle,” and his wife Rita Nakouzi, owe the state of New York more than $49,000 per two state tax warrants filed against the couple.

One was in the amount of $46,862.68, filed in September, 2013, and the second filed six months later for $12,849.87, according to the National Review.

But while Neblett, who prefers to go simply by Touré, appears unwilling to meet his own tax obligations, he often blasts the wealthy for paying too little. Jillian Kay Melchior, writing for National Review, noted:

In January 2014, Neblett tweeted, “Regressive taxation & tax-avoidance & union crushing & the financial corruption of legislation has fueled inequality more than hard work.” In 2012, he also criticized Republican politicians, saying they were “all afraid to vote for a modest tax increase of people who can totally afford it.”

In March, New York state also filed a $4,948.15 tax warrant against Joy-Ann Reid and her husband Jason. Reid was the host of “The Reid Report,” which the network cancelled in mid-February.

Like Neblett, Reid called for tax hikes — except for herself, apparently. She referred to taxing the wealthy as “a basic fairness argument,” and also called for lawmakers to enact “smart tax increases,” according to the National Review.

This is all in addition to the taxes owed by two other MSNBC hosts: Melissa Harris-Perry and Al Sharpton.

It was revealed last week that Harris-Perry, host of the “Melissa Harris-Perry Show,” and her husband have a tax bill totaling close to $70,000.

Like Neblett and Reid, she’s big on combating income inequality by sharing the wealth.

“We actually do better as a country when we spread the wealth around,” Harris-Perry has said, the National Review reported.

But the granddaddy of them all is still Sharpton, who owes approximately $4.5 million in delinquent taxes, according to a New York Times November report.

But during the 2012 presidential campaign season, he excoriated fellow millionaire and GOP nominee Mitt Romney for not paying his “fair share.”

Writing HotAir, Guy Benson noted:

This man appears on television every night to demagogue the successful, push for tax hikes (on people who actually, you know, pay their taxes), bellow about “fair shares,” and assail law-abiding Republicans for not forking over sufficient percentages of their money — all while offering his “insights” on “racial justice,” or whatever.

So what difference would it make — from an income-redistribution standpoint — if these four individuals actually paid their taxes?

National Review writer Charles C.W. Cooke engaged in a bit of pre-Common Core math and tweeted:

And that earned a clever reply, reminding us all of who really foots the bill:
