The always brazen and outspoken comedian Roseanne Barr was true to form in an interview Monday, declaring that Hillary Clinton potentially becoming the first woman president wouldn’t be symbolic at all.
“I think she’s a Democrat just like they all are. She’s the same old shit,” Barr told the Daily Beast.
“I would not like to see her win.”
Barr, the former star of the 1980s and 1990s sitcom “Roseanne,” is not new to politics and is getting ready to release a documentary about her own presidential run as an independent candidate in 2012. She first lost her bid for the nomination as the Green party candidate before running on the Peace and Freedom ticket.

“I don’t see how [Clinton] can win, but it will be interesting to see how the process goes,” she told the Beast.
“Although it’s kind of offensive that the American people for 21 months have to live through the mudslinging that goes on between the two parties, which I think is just a tactic to prevent government from doing anything about any of our problems.”
Barr said that she doesn’t notice much difference between the two major political parties, adding “they both get paid by the same guys.”
When asked about the symbolism of America’s first woman president, Barr said she’s looking for a little more substance.

“Symbolically? What does that mean?” Barr retorted.
“I think that a party that was woman-friendly would be revolutionary, and that party could be headed by a male or female. It’s what the party itself stands for that matters,” she said.
“I would rather see the first intelligent, honest American president. I don’t care what’s in their shorts. I don’t care what it looks like down there at all.”
