Fight breaks out over stolen valor: Guy accused of wearing uniform to pick up girls, get free drinks at bar

A bar room confrontation erupted in Florida after a man dressed in an Army uniform was approached by patrons accusing him of impersonating an infantry soldier in order to meet women and get free drinks.

“There are people who f*****g die in that uniform,” a young man can be heard saying on the recording that captured the confrontation.

Eric Coins and his friend suspected something about the uniformed man wasn’t legitimate when his fatigues appeared incomplete and he was perusing tables bragging of his “service.”

“This guy was trying to pick up girls and get sympathy drinks in a battle ready uniform which wasn’t even on properly let alone, wearing at a bar,” Coins wrote when he posted the incident to You Tube, according to the Daily Mail.

“So we asked a few basic questions which threw him off … he’s a scum to America and we couldn’t let that fly.”

Coins’ friend approached the fake service member as Coins recorded.

The young man asked the alleged impostor where he conducted basic training. When he answered, “Miami” the young man told him that was wrong because basic training is conducted in “Fort Benning, Ga.”

That’s when things started to get really intense.

“You wanna see my name?” said the uniformed guy after he was asked where his name badge was.

“I took that s*** out, you wanna know why? I don’t want nobody knowin’ my name,” he said.

The purported impostor asked the young man, “Are you a cop?”

Instead of answering the question the young man informed the “impostor” that what he was doing was a federal offense.

“Wait, wait, wait mother f*****!” the uniformed guy fired back.

“You realize what you’re doing is a federal offense!” the young man shouted over him.

The two came near blows as bar staff intervened and the video finally shuts off.

Although Coins’ friend can be heard saying he is not in the Army, it’s good to know guys like him have our soldiers’ backs here at home.
