LeBron James’ moving tribute to Lauren Hill after teen loses courageous battle

Greta Van Susteren’s “Off The Record” statement Friday was dedicated to “courageous, tough” collegiate basketball player Lauren Hill, who lost her battle to brain cancer that day.

“I didn’t know Lauren Hill,” she began, “but I wish I had.”

Before her death, Hill helped raise more than $1.5 million for cancer research so that others may not share her own fate.

But Van Susteren’s statement was dedicated just as much to basketball great LeBron James, who wrote a touching tribute to Hill, referring to her as “the definition of strength, courage, power, leadership, etc. etc.” in a series of tweets.

He began by saying that although he’d never met Hill, she remained a source of inspiration to him.
