MSNBC declares open season on Ted Cruz’s ‘crazy dad’ – glad to follow him with camera’s and mics

With the 2016 presidential race barely underway, the network that served as little more than an extension of President Obama’s campaign apparatus has let it be known that family members of GOP candidates are fair game.

Targeting announced Republican presidential contender U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz’s crazy father — crazy in the eyes of the liberal media because he’s a pastor — MSNBC host Thomas Roberts let it be known that the cameras and microphones will come in search of the senior Cruz.

Following U.S. Sen. Rand Paul’s announcement Tuesday that he is entering the Republican presidential primary, Roberts did a segment titled “GOP Contenders with Father Issues?” according to Newsbusters.

Hee-hawing along with The Washington Post’s Aaron Blake, Roberts noted that Rafael Cruz was known for “saying some pretty interesting thing.”

(You know, those extremist Christian views.)

“How does [Ted Cruz] break his father’s shadow or potential hindrance of saying something and really getting caught with having to explain it away,” the MSNBC host asked.

misconduct; they messed with the wrong judge

Blake responded that while Ron Paul may be unhelpful for his son, Rand Paul, the senior Cruz will be “even more unhelpful” for Ted Cruz, adding that the father was “certainly not a natural fit for being on the campaign trail.”

“I think reporters will — if he doesn’t show up on the campaign trail, they’re happy to go find Rafael Cruz, and take the cameras and microphones to him,” Roberts chimed in.

Never mind that the man the liberal media idolizes, President Obama, declared during his first run for the White House that families are “off limits.”

“Let me be as clear as possible,” the president said in 2008. “I think people’s families are off-limits, and people’s children are especially off-limits. This shouldn’t be part of our politics.”

Unless they happen to be Republican.
