There’s a lot to be said about good customer service – but not every employee seems to know it, as one seemingly innocent Burger King Patron in Lake Charles, La., found out when she was physically threatened by an angry worker.
The customer, who had the foresight to record the incident on her cell phone, approached the counter and repeatedly asked to see a manager regarding a refund for a milkshake.
That didn’t sit well with the Burger King employee behind the counter, who immediately began to berate the woman for daring to question her order.
“Baby, you’re about to get it,” the employee can be heard saying. “Just wait. You’re gonna get your s**t.”
“You’re cursing. Are you serious? Are you serious?” the customer emphasized. “You can’t treat people like this, this is your job.”
Probably wondering if she was on candid camera, the customer asked the employee, “Are you for real?”
“No. I’m fake,” she shot back.
The customer calmly told the worker she was being rude.
That’s when the Burger King employee came around the counter to get in the woman’s face challenging her to leave.
The woman with the cell phone reminded the worker about the store cameras, in addition to her own, and didn’t back down, saying she wasn’t leaving without knowing she’d be safe.
At that point, another employee came around and made what looked like a feeble attempt at trying to calm down her co-worker.
But the disgruntled employee raged on.
At that point, the customer can be heard saying, “Don’t touch me,” and indicated the worker was stepping on her foot.
“This is assault. I’m calling the cops,” she said.
“You wanna get slapped?” the employee responded? “You wanna get slapped?”
That’s when the recording stopped.
The Blaze updated the story with a statement from Burger King that said the employee had been terminated and they contacted “their guest directly.”
No word if their guest ever got her refund but thanks to her recording, chances are, she did.
