A Missouri woman’s disappointment that her new car had been stolen was somewhat tempered when it was returned to her all pimped out, courtesy of the thief who took it.
On Monday, a little more than a month after she bought the car, Becky Schoenig’s 2015 Ford Fusion disappeared from her St. Louis driveway.
Acting on a tip, police found the car two days later and returned it to Schoenig, albeit not exactly in the same appearance as she last saw it.
The car now featured a steering wheel with orange accents, red detailing on the sides of the car and rims that had been spray painted red.

Making the best of a bad situation, Schoenig posted a photo of her modified Fusion on Facebook, along with a message for whoever stole it.
“I want to thank the car thieves for pimping out my vehicle for me…. This b*tch is pimpin now!!!” she wrote.
The photo was posted on April 1, prompting some friends to think it was an April Fool’s joke, but it was no joke.
Schoenig did admit that things weren’t all “lollipops and rainbows,” telling KSDK NewsChannel 5 the car reeked of a strong smell of cigarettes and marijuana, and she will be getting it professionally cleaned.
