Paris deli attack survivors sue media for broadcasting to terrorists they were hiding in fridge

Survivors of a horrific attack by an Islamic extremist on a kosher deli in Paris plan to sue the French media for revealing where they were located.

Following the January attack on the Paris office of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, in which Muslim terrorists murdered 12 people, Amedy Coulibaly stormed into the Jewish deli and killed four hostages.

According to the British television network ITV, six people who hid themselves in a walk-in refrigerator are suing the media for broadcasting their location while the attack was ongoing — the news channel BFMTV was specifically mentioned by the group’s lawyer.

Attorney Patrick Klugman said images broadcast from the scene that fateful day “lacked the most basic precautions,” and the lives of those in hiding “could have been at risk if Coulibaly had been aware in real time what BFMTV was broadcasting.”

While it remains to be seen if the survivors have a legitimate case, social media users responding to the story had little sympathy for the media.
