Charles Krauthammer classified the proposed Iran deal as a big win for the regime in Tehran, and he revealed what he deemed as the “most astonishing thing.”
The conservative pundit and Fox News contributor appeared on Fox’s “Special Report” Thursday to offer his blistering critique of the framework agreement.
“When Obama speaks about snapping them (sanctions) back, if the Iranians are cheating, there is not chance in the world that the Chinese, the Russians or even the Europeans are going to snap on sanctions again,” Krauthammer said. “We would be acting alone, we would be completely isolated.
“They are going to get their economy back and that’s all they really wanted,” he added.
And that’s not even the worst part of this seemingly one-sided deal according to Krauthammer.
“The most astonishing thing is that in return, they are not closing a single nuclear facility,” he said. “Their entire nuclear infrastructure is intact.”
He said that not only will they keep the facilities, including Fordo that the president said in December that they didn’t need, they will also enhance some of their facilities.
“They don’t need the advanced centrifuges. They are gonna be developing news ones in the Fordo reactor, he said. “They are going to have the entire infrastructure in place either for a breakout after the agreement expires or when they have enough sanctions relief and they want to cheat and to breakout on their own.”
