Americans are being told to get ready for more illegal immigrant children flooding the border this year.
Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies for the Center for Immigration Studies, appeared on Fox News’ “Your World with Neil Cavuto” Tuesday and said she expects an influx of illegal alien kids this summer similar to the wave last year.
According to documents obtained by The Washington Examiner, 12,509 illegal alien kids have crossed the border since October, the beginning of the federal government’s fiscal year. Only 1 in 6 have been returned.
“This supposedly is the slow time of the year but already we have very high numbers of people coming, and it shows that the surge really never stopped,” Vaughan told host Neil Cavuto. “It just lessened little bit.”
“The cities and towns that have been struggling with trying to accommodate all of these kids over the last couple of years really ought to brace themselves for the coming Surge 2 that is already in progress,” she added.
Vaughn told Cavuto that the wave of illegal children is continuing because President Obama is “advertising that he is only interested in deporting criminals and families are allowed to stay.”
