‘Big win for Scott Walker’: Supreme Court backs him up on voter ID

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker can’t stop winning.

On Monday, the Supreme Court refused to hear a challenge to Wisconsin’s voter ID laws, making the state able to enforce the laws for future elections.

The law was passed in 2011 and in place for the February 2012 primary, but had been on hold because of court challenges ever since, according to The Associated Press.

The American Civil Liberties Union and other groups managed to have a federal judge declare the law unconstitutional a year ago, but the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals overturned that ruling.

The refusal by the Supreme Court keeps that decision intact.

The Twitterverse quickly weighed in on the news, hailing what one user called a “big win for Scott Walker.”
