Let the games begin.
The Houston Chronicle reported Saturday that Sen. Ted Cruz will announce his bid for the Republican nomination for president Monday, but Democrat attacks didn’t even wait that long, as California Governor Jerry Brown slammed the senator Sunday on “Meet The Press” calling him “unfit to run for office.”
Cruz is scheduled to speak at Liberty University in Virginia and will skip the exploratory committee and jump head first into the race.
Brown, however, cites Cruz opposition to global warming hysteria as the reason the Senator wouldn’t make a good president.
“Over 90 percent of the scientists that deal with climate are absolutely convinced that the human activity, the industrial activity, the generation of CO2, methane, oxides of nitrogen, all the rest of those greenhouse gases are building up in the atmosphere, they’re heat-trapping and they’re causing not just warmth (and) drought in California, but severe storms and cold in the East Coast,” Brown told host Chuck Todd.
“So it’s climate disruption of many different kinds. And that man (Cruz) betokens such a level of ignorance and a direct falsification of the existing scientific data. It’s shocking, and I think that man has rendered himself absolutely unfit to be running for office.”

But Cruz better get used to being sniped, because he won’t be alone on the campaign trail for long.
Retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson and financier Donald Trump have formed exploratory committees.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker may, like Cruz, forgo an exploratory committee altogether and many more including Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, New Jersey Gov Chris Christie and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush have formed Super-PACS in a likely signal of their intention to run.
Still the news of Cruz running has excited many in the Twitterverse.
