When all is said and done, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz may rue the day he stepped off into the abyss known as the “Race Together” campaign, where baristas are encouraged to talk to customers about race relations.
“We at Starbucks should be willing to talk about these issues in America,” Schultz said when announcing the ill-fated program.
Not only did the company’s senior vice president of communications have to temporarily delete his Twitter account over all the flak he was getting after the announcement, but many baristas are uncomfortable with the idea and are refusing to participate.

And it’s likely that the billionaire CEO never anticipated a sharp-witted social media user taking a closer look at Starbucks’ executive team.
A photo of the leadership team was posted on Twitter by an account belonging to John Groves, and a bad situation suddenly got worse for Schultz:
