Anti-gun group sets up fake ‘gun store’ to trick customers

Anti-gun group, States United to Prevent Gun Violence, went to elaborate measures to try and frighten Americans from purchasing guns.

A YouTube video posted by the group Tuesday showed how it set up a fake gun store in New York City – only there was a twist.

When patrons arrived at the fake store they were greeted with a friendly smile and a violent history lesson that was intimately tied to any gun they picked out.

“I’m pro-Second Amendment so it’s like, it’s kind of hard to find that in New York City,” said a man who was happily surprised to find the store.

The “clerk” behind the counter showed him a 6-inch revolver before taking him by surprise.

“It’s also a gun a 5-year-old found in his parents’ bedroom and went down and shot his 9-month old baby brother with,” the clerk said.

The customer looked shocked and appalled – as did all of the patrons who were told about the violent history of each gun.

Everyone looked as if they took the clerk very seriously – because that’s what good gun owners do – take owning a firearm seriously.

Not only did the deceptive stunt by the gun control group take people off guard in order to try and get their point across, they were also hypocritical.

It was reported by Guns.com that the man who played the clerk in the fake store is an actor named Ned Luke. Luke is best known for playing the part of criminal Michael De Santa in the violent game series Grand Theft Auto V.

GTA has been under attack by critics for its disturbing violence for years. But in 2013, Luke didn’t seem to mind.

“GTA allows you to tap into everything that you can’t do in real life,” he said in an interview.

“In real life you don’t get to go out and rampage and do all these bad things. Gangster movies have been huge forever – all the way back to Jimmy Gagney.

“People lose themselves in the bad boy. And there isn’t anybody badder than the dudes in GTA. That’s why they’re so popular. You get to actually go out and do all these horrible things,” Luke said.

No word if the fake-store tried to “sell” any of the many kinds of guns portrayed in their fake-clerk’s breadwinning GTA series.
