Fox News host Megyn Kelly locked horns with liberal mouthpiece and pundit Juan Williams during a guest appearance on “The Five” Tuesday, and the debate didn’t go well for Williams.
Repeating the Democrat defense of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Williams tried to maintain that Clinton acted legally when she conducted her government business on a private email account on a private server rather than a government account where records would be available for scrutiny – as the law requires.
“I still think she broke no law,” Williams said.
Kelly, an attorney, was having none of it.
Pointing out that more than two years have passed since Clinton’s time in office and the public is only now learning about the former secretary’s private email arrangements, Kelly said Clinton had basically resisted subpoenas and requests filed under the Freedom of Information Act, which pointed to a deliberate effort to keep public information in private hands.
That, she said, is just based on a plain reading of the law.
“I have no conspiracy theory,” Kelly said. “The standard is willful concealment. How is that not willful concealment?”
