Sean Penn finally answers lib critics on Oscars ‘green card’ joke; it’s not pretty

Actor Sean Penn has no apologies for the libs who are still angry about the joke he made at last month’s Oscars presenting the “Best Director” award to “Birdman’s” Alejandro G. Inarritu.

Just the opposite, as a matter of fact.

Penn caused a round of hand-wringing and smelling-salts reaching among the cognoscenti when he prefaced his announcement of Inarritu’s name with the question, “Who gave this son of a bitch his green card?”

The joke went over with its intended audience – Inarritu, a Mexican national, told reporters he thought it was “hilarious” — but the more sensitive among the left didn’t like it. Some even demanded an apology.

Ain’t gonna happen.

“I have absolutely no apologies,” said Saturday, according to The Associated Press. “In fact, I have a big f— you for … anybody who is so stupid not to have gotten the irony when you’ve got a country that is so xenophobic.”

“If they had their way, you wouldn’t have great filmmakers like Alejandro working in this country,” Penn continued. “Thank God we do.”

Penn is no conservative – a guy who calls the most immigrant-welcoming country in history “xenophobic” is a sure-fire liberal, not to mention his truly weird fixation with failing Venezuelan socialism.

But at least he’s not making any apologies to his fellow libs.

They’ll never know what a bad joke they are.
