Liberal actor and star of the Netflix political series “House of Cards” Kevin Spacey has been tapped to produce and narrate a series highlighting some of the most famous campaigns for president.
The series dubbed “Race for the White House,” a six-part miniseries, is set to air on CNN in 2016, just in time for the presidential race.
CNN Worldwide President Jeff Zucker said in a statement that “‘Race for the White House’ will be the perfect complement to our coverage of the 2016 campaigns and election.”
In a 2013 interview with Hot Press magazine, Spacey detailed his long history of support for the Democrat Party and his friendship with the Clintons.
“I started working on my first presidential campaign when Jimmy Carter ran for president in 1976 and I was in high school. And over the course of many years, I worked for other candidates in various races and ultimately became very close with former President Clinton,” he told the magazine.
“I also knew Teddy Kennedy and Pat Moynihan and there are a whole number of remarkable and important politicians that I’ve managed to find myself in the same room with on many occasions.”
Gee, I wonder who he’s going to try to make look good in 2016.
