Rocker with a heart! What Kid Rock did to help Navy SEALS pay tribute to Chris Kyle

Just before the release of his latest album, musician Kid Rock took the time to promote someone else’s music – for a song that pays tribute to the late “American Sniper” Chris Kyle.

The tribute is performed by the Pete Scobell Band and features Wynonna Judd. Proceeds for the single, titled “Hearts I leave Behind,” will go directly to the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation, which helps returning vets adapt to civilian life.

Pete Scobell is a veteran who served in the Navy for nearly 17 years and, according to his biography, had “dreamed of becoming a Navy SEAL for as long as he could remember.”

Scobell achieved his dream and fulfilled six deployments as a Navy SEAL and earned two Bronze Stars with Valor.

Scobell’s latest endeavor is to honor Kyle and help other vets through the foundation started in Kyle’s name.

Kid Rock showed up via social media to help out:

Thanks for asking HuskerGuy, it absolutely is.
