News anchor accidentally blurts out racial slur on air; Fox News haters scream racism

A local news anchor has come under fire for referring to Lady Gaga’s “jigaboo music” during an Oscar’s recap Monday.

Kristi Capel, of Fox 8 in Cleveland, was discussing how great Gaga’s voice sounded during her “Sound of Music” tribute during the Academy Awards when the gaffe happened.

“It’s hard to really hear her voice with all the jigaboo music,” she said.

“She has a nice voice,” co-anchor Wayne Dawson said with a nervous smile.

“She has a gorgeous voice,” Capel added. “I never knew. Very nice.”

After learning of her faux pax, Capel took to twitter to apologize to several people who tweeted her directly.

Unfortunately some in the Twitterverse were all too quick to label her a racist and to tie it to Fox News, even though the seemingly innocent mistake came from a local affiliate.

What?

Some people did have common sense.

They did Vince. They did.
