Obama loves America like Ronald Reagan did? Nice try, libs

If you are a Barack Obama fan and want to help him, the last thing you should do is compare him to Ronald Reagan.

But that is precisely what two Obama supporters did Saturday.

The first was The Washington Post’s Jonathan Capehart, who took issue with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s contention that Obama “thinks about, looks at and talks about America” differently than past presidents.

“Rudy Giuliani is lying,” Capehart said on MSNBC’s “Up With Steve Kornacki.” “And anyone who’s been paying attention to Barack Obama since he wowed the Democratic Convention in 2004 knows how much the president loves this country.”

Then, the National Journal’s Ron Fournier took the rhetoric a giant step further when he said: “Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama vowed to transform America. Because of their love for it.”

Naturally, the Twitterverse seized the opportunity to excoriate the Obama apologists.
